The Vet Reference Pipeline
Rescues and shelters use IPR to request vet references during the adoption screening process. Here's how it works from your perspective:
Email Arrives
You receive a professional, branded email from International Pet Registry. It includes the applicant's name, the pet they want to adopt, and the rescue requesting the reference.
Click the Secure Link
The email contains a 'Submit Vet Reference' button. Click it — no login required. The form loads with the applicant and pet details pre-filled.
Fill Out the Reference
Provide your clinic info, how long you've known the client, visit frequency, vaccination status, a care quality rating (1-5 stars), any concerns, and your recommendation (Yes / With Reservations / No).
Submit
Your response goes directly to the rescue's dashboard as a Form Submission. They can review it, link it to the adopter's profile, and use it in their adoption decision. You also get a confirmation notification.
💡 No login needed: You can submit vet references without having an IPR account. However, if you do have an account, you'll also receive in-app notifications and can track your submitted references.
